Carbidopa and levodopa combination is used to cure Parkinson s disease, sometimes it is called as paralysis agitans or shaking palsy. Dopamine is a normally occurring substance in the brain that helps in control of movements and activities like walking and talking. Parkinson patients do not have enough dopamine in some parts of the brain. This Levodopa get in brain and helps replace the missing dopamine, which helps people to function normal. It works by increasing the amount of dopamine in the brain, it is advisable to void a high-protein diet (it reduces the amount of levodopa that your body takes in) during medication. This belongs to a class of medications called decarboxylase inhibitors
